The following presents the core values of Daleville Baptist Church. We desire that they define and drive this ministry as well as describe the environment we strive to create at our church.
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:41-47)
In our church we are committed to:
Biblical teaching. We recognize that the Holy Scriptures are the final authority by which we must live; therefore we strive to teach God’s Word with integrity and passion. Mt 28:19-20; 1 Pet 2:2; 1 Tim 4:13-16 , 2 Tim 3:16
Regular Fellowship. We recognize that we are the family of God, as brothers and sisters in God’s family we strive to create opportunities for authentic fellowship with one another. Heb 10:24-25;Acts 2:44-46; I Cor 12:7
Praying faithfully. We rely on private and corporate prayer in the conception, planning and execution of all ministries and activities of the church. Jn 14:12-14 ; Phil 4:6; 1 Thess 5:17, Matt 7:7-11
Inclusive ministry. In the body of Christ every member is important; we are therefore committed to helping every believer discover his or her spiritual gift and equipping them to effectively using that gift in the power of the Holy Spirit. I Cor 12: 4-7; Rom 12:4-6; 1 Pet 4:10, Eph 4: 11-16
Proactive witnessing. We realize that we not only have a responsibility to be an example for Christ to anyone who is observing how we live, but we have a responsibility to go out into our community and into the world and share the Good News of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Acts 1:8; Luke 14:23; John 15:26-27; Mark 16:15; John 20:21
Enduring unity. We realize that we all have all have a different past and differing backgrounds, as such we might not always see eye to eye, however we all have the same future in Christ, therefore we seek to set aside our differences and live in harmony with one another as much as possible. Jn 17:20-21; Eph 4:1-6 ;Phil 2:1-4
Sincere worship. We desire to acknowledge God’s supreme value and worth in our personal lives and in the corporate and relevant worship of our church. Rev 4:1-11 ; Ps 69:30-32 ; Ps 150:1-6
